Polypropelene.
Manufacturing Process
PRABODHAN MPP capacitors are manufactured, at Saswad works, with fully
air-conditioned & dustfree winding and assembly department. Top quality
of Metallised Polypropylene Film from reputed manufacturers, both
indigenous & abroad is only used.
The elements are wound tightly on specially designed, Automatic winding
machine. The individual elements are zinc sprayed in dustproof
pressurized cabin and impregnated with -PCB oil under vacuum.
Quality Control & Testing
Strict quality control at various stages is maintained rigorously.
All tests as per IS:2834 with the latest version are carried out on all
capacitors.
Range
1 to 25 KVR in single units normally in 415/440 V.A.C. & higher
capacities in bank formation.
Self healing capacitors are available with NPCB oil Conventional Mixed
dielectric + NPCB design can be offered against specific requirements.
Salient Features
Self Healing : Internal faults are cleared
automatically, hence no danger of short circuit.
Low Loss: 0.5 to 1 watt per KVAR-low temp. rise,
hence longer life & trouble free performance.
Oil Impregnated : Impregnated with N-PCB oil under vacuum.
Compact: Light Weight yet sturdy, assembled in metal
container, easy for mounting

Self healing capacitors are likely to be derated under following
Conditions :
1] System containing harmonics.
2] Intermittent large fluctuations in load.
3] Where switching operations exceed 1000 times in one year.
